The Mound Springs area of Mammoth Hot Springs is located on the lower boardwalk in the center of the walkways. This area is not only filled with travertine terraces but also small pool areas of various colors. Mammoth Hot Springs is in the Northwest Corner of Yellowstone National Park and is unique from Yellowstone's other features in the limestone added in the development of the many terraces.
