Valley of Fire State Park 229

A popular rock formation known as Balanced Rock lies just beyond the visitor center in Valley of Fire State Park. Valley of Fire is a Nevada state park containing 40,000 acres of red Aztec sandstone mixed with tan, crean and purple colored limestone formations. The park also includes 2000 year old petroglyphs as well as a wide range of wildlife including desert bighorn sheep.
