Each winter 20,000 to 30,000 sandhill cranes visit Whitewater Draw Wildlife Refuse to roost. The refuge is about 1600 acreas but surrouned by farmland that provides food sources for the cranes. The refuge is located about 20 miles south eastern of Tombsone.
