Mammoth Hot Springs is one of the popular thermal basins in Yellowstone National Park and is located in the Northwest corner of the park. This basin in different from all the other geyser basins due to the limestone in the area.

Mammoth Hot Springs is comprised of two areas, one called the Lower Terrace is made up of a series of boardwalks through different travertine terrace formations along with some hot springs. The second area is called the Upper Terrace Drive which is a one-way narrow road through more terraces, hot springs, and forest areas.
