Oatman, Arizona began as a mining town about 100 years ago in the Black Mountains of Mohave County. Oatman is situation along Route 66 and the drive to the town from Kingman is quite the adventure with tight hairpin turns as the road climbs up Sitgraeves Pass before arriving at Oatman. It is referred to as a Ghost Town that is full of wild burros roaming the streets. Weekends bring recreations of gunfights in the streets. The Oatman Hotel is famous as the honeymoon location of Clark Gable and Carol Lombard with locals claiming their ghosts haunt the hotel.
