Roseate Spoonbill 727

A flock of Roseate Spoonbills feeds in the shallows of a pond off Black Point Drive at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. Roseate Spoonbills are gregarious wading birds in both the spoonbill and ibis families. They feed by opening their strange bill and moving it from side to side to scoup up fish, snails, insects and other food.
