Norris Geyser Basin 220

Emerald Springs is in the back basin area of Norris Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park. The emerald color result from the yellow in sulfur that does not appear to be present any longer. Hence the blue color. It is still a pretty little spring with fun bubbling action. Norris Geyser Basin is the hottest basin in Yellowstone and lies at the intersection of three major fault lines.
