Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge is located on Central Florida's east coast. It is a 140,000 acre refuge by the Kennedy Space Center and features wetlands and Atlantic Ocean shores. The refuge is a popular place to see wintering ducks and wading birds as well as a variety of other wildlife.
