Calcite Springs Overlook is located of the Grand Loop Road in Yellowstone National Park between Roosevelt and Tower Falls. The spring is the downstream point of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone in a section known as the Narrows. Calcite Springs gorge is composed of vertical basalt columns from a previous lava flow.
