The sun breaks through the horizon on the beaches of Washington Oaks State Park in Florida. Washington Oaks State Park is one of only a few coquina beaches in the state.

The park is divided into two parts, one on the coast and the main portion of the park on the Matanzas River. The main portion of the park contains beautiful formal gardens along with hiking trails through the grounds.
